Do you spread rumors and gossip?

Rumors can drain enormous amounts of your energy. Put a hand over your mouth (or keep your hands off the keyboard...), because there is a person behind every rumor and you may fall into your own trap...

You arrive at school early and head to the changing room and see a girl from your class kissing a boy, where they think they can’t be seen. Do you tell the girl sitting next to you in class later that day?

Your best friend makes you promise not to tell anyone his/her secret. They are in love with your brother / sister. Do you tell your sibling?

You see a rumor being spread on Facebook about one of your friends. Do you share the rumor with the rest of your Facebook friends to be “in” with them?

You get an invitation to join the following group: “Join this group if you hate ten-ton Hayley”. Do you join?

During your school field trip, you see one of your classmates peeing behind some bushes. Do you tell everyone?

You are a true friend:

You are a true friend and don’t spread gossip, not even behind people’s backs. You can be counted on 100%. Everyone would like a friend like you who they can share their secrets with and trust that they will never go any further.

You try to gossip...carefully:

You enjoy gossiping, but you are careful. From your point of view, gossip is harmless fun and you enjoy finding out everything that is going on.

But you also know that people may discover that you have spread rumors about them, so you prefer listening to gossip rather than spreading it further. You might tell some things to your close friends, but not to all and sundry. We just have to hope that the latest gossip won’t be… about you
