Premier League: Team of the Week
A weekend where Manchester United returned to winning ways, Arsenal maintained their excellent form and Liverpool and Manchester City played out a goalless stalemate. Here's our Team of the Week...
GK: Rui Patricio (Wolves)
Patricio impressed as Wolves held on at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace. The Portuguese 'keeper made an excellent double save to keep Palace goalless in the first-half.
RB: Ricardo Pereira (Leicester City)
Pereira's first-half equaliser was absolutely brilliant! The right-back showed off his attacking quality to the King Power as he humiliated the Everton defence before smashing past Jordan Pickford.
CB: Dejan Lovren (Liverpool)
Lovren made his return to the Liverpool team as they fought out a goalless stalemate against the champions at Anfield. The Croatian centre-back performed excellently to keep City at bay. Some solid one-on-one defending lifted the Anfield crowd, which is usually his weakness.
CB: James Tarkowski (Burnley)
Tarkowski was man-of-the-match in Burnley's 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town on Saturday. The Burnley man made 13 clearances and was in the way of two dangerous shots from the visitors.
LB: Andy Robertson (Liverpool)
Liverpool had to do a lot of defending in their 0-0 draw with City, explaining the inclusion of the second LFC defender. Robertson dealt with the threat of Riyad Mahrez very well and was constantly an option on the counter-attack.
CM: Gylfi Sigurdsson (Everton)
The Everton midfielder is on fine form at the moment. His goal against Leicester was brilliant for a couple of reasons... the first being the Cruyff turn he performed to make some space before unleashing a rocket of a right-footed shot past Kasper Schmeichel.
CM: Juan Mata (Manchester United)
Mata's second-half performance was inspired for United, who completed a great comeback against Newcastle. His excellent free-kick started the revival at Old Trafford.
CM: Ross Barkley (Chelsea)
Barkley has started the season well under Maurizio Sarri, after not getting much of a sniff under Antonio Conte. Ross has recently been recalled to the England squad and justified Gareth Southgate's decision by scoring and assisting one in Chelsea's 3-0 win over Southampton.
RW: Joshua King (Bournemouth)
King starred as Bournemouth demolished Watford at Vicarage Road. The Norwegian's first-half brace for the Cherries set the tone for the rest of the game. His eagerness to get in behind defences with his speed is a constant threat for opposition defences.
LW: Eden Hazard (Chelsea)
He's the best player in the Premier League on current form. No doubt. The Belgian again starred for the Blues, scoring the opener against the Saints. Hazard recorded his seventh goal of the season - extending his advantage at the top of the scorers chart.
ST: Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal)
Another forward who's been in unreal form. Lacazette's brace inspired the Gunners to a 5-1 thrashing of Fulham at Craven Cottage. His two goals meant he grabbed his sixth and seventh goal of the season. Lacazette's turn in form has been a crucial part in Arsenal's red-hot form.
