What qualifies someone as a Veteran?
Veteran status refers to anyone who has served active duty in one of the armed services for more than 180 consecutive days. Veterans will have a certificate of release or discharge, certificate DD-214, that documents their time in service and discharge status; for example, honorable, general, or dishonorable.
