This bridge - which is relatively unaltered - straddles the Verde River. Its main function is a turn-around point for the scenic Verde Canyon Railroad.
The Gillespie Dam Bridge spans the Gila River in Maricopa County. It was built to bypass a concrete apron in front of the Gillespie Dam, which was often closed due to flooding.
The Leslie Canyon Bridge is still going after 90-plus years on Leslie Canyon Road in Cochise County. It's roughly 17 miles north of State Route 80 (near Douglas).
This bridge was once the most important crossing on the former Bisbee-Douglas Highway. The 60-foot-span, 16-foot-wide roadway is still located over Mule Gulch, about six miles east of Bisbee.
