Biology
You’ve always loved assessments that involve the natural world, but are also stoked on studying people too. Nothing grosses you out, and field trips are your thing. Look into the prerequisites for gigs in zoology, biochemistry and engineering (biomedical) and work backwards from there.
Chemistry
Your spirit study place is the lab, and you feel most comfortable with a test tube in your hand and a lab coat on your back. High school chemistry could totally lead to a career in forensics, engineering (chemical) and materials science. Better start memorising the periodic table!
Physics
You’re just as into maths as you are science, which is why you’re most compatible with science’s most numbers-based discipline. If you’re keen on gigs in data science, astronomy and engineering, kickstarting your studies with high school physics will give you a major head start.
Earth and Environmental Science
You’ve always been mad on nature, so studying it totally makes sense. Environmental science allows you to ditch the classroom for the great outdoors regularly – with loads of field trips and hands-on observation work. If you love it there’s heaps of opportunity for progression too, with bachelor’s degrees in environmental science offered at most Australian universities.
