Indian spinners - how well do you know them?
India is home to some of the greatest spinners in cricket. On 25th March 1998 ace spinner Harbhajan Singh made his International debut. You lot think can ace this quiz on India's spinners? Then here it is.
Harbhajan Singh became the first Indian bowler to take a Test hat-trick on day one of the famous Kolkata Test against Australia in 2001. Since then, two pacers - Irfan Pathan and Jasprit Bumrah - have taken Test hat-tricks for India.
Sachin Tendulkar played in only one T20I which was India's first match in the format. It was against South Africa in 2006, a match in which he dismissed Justin Kemp.
Bishan Singh Bedi took 266 Test wickets and was India's highest wicket-taker in the format until Kapil Dev came along. Bhagwath Chandrasekhar, Erapalli Prasanna and Srinivas Venkataraghavan took 242, 189 and 156 Test wickets respectively.
Ridley Jacobs was dismissed by Rahul Dravid in the drawn Test between West Indies and India at St John's, Antigua and Barbuda in 2002. In ODIs, Dravid took four wickets.
Erapalli Prasanna played for India between 1962 to 1978. In 49 Test matches he took 189 Wickets.
Nikhil Chopra played one game at the 1999 World Cup, in the group stage match against Kenya. He had bowling figures of 1/33 in the game.
Yusuf Pathan is the third highest wicket-taker among Indian off-spinners in the IPL, having taken 42 wickets at a strike rate of 27.3.
Rohit Sharma took his sole T20I wicket against Sri Lanka at Nagpur in 2009. The batsman was Tillakaratne Dilshan.
Rajesh Chauhan played in 21 Tests with India winning 12 and drawing nine of those matches. Interestingly, he played just one Test outside Asia.
Among spinners, Neetu David is India's highest wicket-taker in women's ODIs. She took 141 wickets in 97 matches at a superb average of 16.3.
