What are they worth?

Taking inflation into account how much would these 90s stars be worth?
1
Alan Shearer, Blackburn Rovers to Newcastle in 1996
Was: £15 million
Now: £25.4 million

It was a world record transfer free at the time but it was £15 million well spent as Shearer became a legend on Tyneside. Inflation puts that figure at over £25 million in today's money but being English he'd surely attract bids higher than that.
2
Stan Collymore, Nottingham Forest to Liverpool in 1995
Was: £8.5 million
Now: £14.75 million

What was a British record fee at the time, £8.5 million wouldn't be considered a big spend but with inflation is up at just below £15 million.
3
Christian Vieri, Lazio to Inter Milan in 1999
Was: £32 million
Now: £50 million

Another record breaking transfer at the time as the move across Italy to Inter was the world's highest fee. In today's money after inflation to high price is pushed even higher to a huge £50 million.
4
Ronaldo, Barcelona to Inter Milan in 1997
Was: £19.5 million
Now: £32 million

Ronaldo played just one season with Barcelona after signing from PSV for £13.2 million (now £22.5 million). 49 goals in 68 appearances not a bad return in five years.
5
Thierry Henry, Juventus to Arsenal in 1999
Was: £11 million
Now: £17.2 million

Arsenal's signing of Thierry Henry is probably regarded as one of Arsene Wenger's best piece of business when he was brought in from Juventus. Bargain
6
Andy Cole, Newcastle United to Manchester United in 1995
Was: £7 million
Now: £12.2 million

It was £6 million and £1 million rated Keith Gillespie going the other way in the shock move that saw Cole switch United's. He might not be one of Fergie's biggest bargains but he made a huge impact.
7
Eric Cantona, Leeds United to Manchester United in 1992
Was: £1.2 million
Now: £2.2 million

Now here is one of Fergie's best buys! How did he manage to swipe Cantona from Leeds for such a small fee?
8
Steve McManaman, Liverpool to Real Madrid in 1999
Was: Free
Now: Free

Steve McManaman joined Real Madrid from Anfield on a Bosman, quite a bargain. The rule still applies today and players can move freely at the end of contracts.
