Tutor Thought
VCE Study Guides isn't just another tutoring agency. In fact, I don't like it when people call VCE Study Guides a tutoring company (because I have much bigger dreams for us!). I don't know of any tutoring company that sends their subscribers regular insider advice and video tips, I don't know of any tutoring company that releases weekly videos related to study, and I certainly don't know of any tutoring company who regularly keeps in touch with their tutors, even if it's just for a 'hello' or a 'happy birthday'!
I want VCE Study Guides to be known for its amazing educational focus across all platforms - blog posts, YouTube videos, upcoming podcasts and at the heart of it, an outstanding young and bright minded tutors who will drive this culture and mentality. It's time to propagate this vision, and the best way to do so is at the crux of VCE Study Guides - our team!

I think tutor education would be beneficial.
Definitely
A little
It's ok
More work? Heck no!
If I was sent emails with tutor education/learning, I would watch/read it.
Definitely
Highly likely
Maybe sometimes
Only if I'd remember
Nah, I'm a pretty awesome tutor already.
What content would you like to see?
Content in sessions (lesson planning, what to do in each session, etc.)
How to build a good rapport with the student
How to conduct interactive sessions
How to organise my time outside of sessions (reading books, preparing for class)
How to communicate better with students (explaining concepts)
How to communicate better with students outside of sessions (organising sessions like rescheduling, cancellations and avoiding miscommunication)
How to build rapport with parents
How to deal with awkward situations (flirty student, being asked to edit a SAC so they can rote learn it for tomorrow's SAC etc.)
All of the above!
How often would you like to have new education delivered to you?
Weekly
Fortnightly
Monthly
I don't mind!
In what format would you like tutor education to be delivered to you?
Videos
Podcasts
Writing
Would you like there to be participation on your end to test your knowledge/skills?
Yes, via MCQs after the tute
Yes, via short answers after the tute
Nope, it would be fine having the tute only.
How much time are you interested in learning from these tutes, say if they were sent to you each month?
Under 5 minutes (a short tute)
Under 10 minutes (a longer tute)
Over 10 minutes (a much longer tute!)
Thank you so much!
I appreciate your time and you'll hear from me soon :) Remember to shoot me an email if you have an idea or suggestion you'd like me to take on board, I'd love to hear your thoughts (Tutor Thoughts!). I will be spending the next few months shaping up a tutor education-related system to be put in place for VCE Study Guides!
