Running a lot of polls and quizzes on your site is one of the most effective methods of increasing ad performance. It can help publishers with high traffic volumes to increase their ad revenue as well as boost engagement with their content.
How Polls & Quizzes Help in Increasing Ad Revenue
There are 3 ways in which polls and quizzes can help increase your ad revenue:
Ads integrated into polls & quizzes
When you create a poll or make a quiz on Opinion Stage you can integrate ads at the top and bottom of their interface. This leads to dramatically higher ad CPM rates in comparison to ads in static/textual content
Using polls and quizzes on your site increases the time users spend on it and helps you drive new traffic via social sharing. This results in more revenue from your existing website ads. And it’s very simple to do. Our polls and quizzes can be easily integrated into your website.
Page Ad refresh
Quizzes require users to transition between pages/cards. You can optionally configure to refresh the ads on the page hosting the item on each such transition (note: this solution requires having google tag manager on the hosting page).
Following is an example of ads integrated into a quiz. Note that you can locate the ad under the item, on top of it, or in both locations to maximize revenue.
Who manages the ads?
Publishers can select between:
1) Managing the ads using their existing ad partners (in this case, you can integrate ad code into your items in self-serve)
2) Letting Opinion Stage manage the ads (available for sites that have at least 3 million poll/quiz views per month)
