Dry, granular, free-flowing products are materials that readily pour or flow due to the lack of strong cohesive forces between individual particles.
Not sure whether your product qualifies? Look for the following:
- Lack of Cohesion/Clumping: Particles don't stick together, allowing them to move freely.
- Easy Flow: Gravity can easily move the material through chutes, hoppers, and other equipment
Or try 'The Snowball Test'
If it is safe to do so - take a handful of your product and squeeze it in your fist - much like you would if you were compressing snow to form a snowball..
If your product clumps or sticks together, and retains this shape even after you let go, it is NOT a dry, free flowing product, and will likely not work with a DSH System.
If the product remains loose, and returns to its original form after letting go, it is likely a dry, free flowing product, and may work with a DSH System.
