A) Ask them to explain it a different way
If your doctor uses words you don’t know or says something you don’t understand, you can ask them to explain it a different way. It’s OK to interrupt and take the time you need to ask questions and make sure you understand. Asking questions may improve your relationship as your doctor will better understand your concerns and where you are coming from. If your doctor isn’t open to you asking questions this might also be a signal that you need to find a new doctor.
D) Both B and C
Your role in the partnership with your doctor is to share what’s going on with you and your body and what your values and goals are. Sharing this information will help you get the most benefit from your doctor’s professional knowledge.
