Kim is our circulation manager! Some of her favorite authors are John Green and Karen M. McManus. She loves finding new nonfiction books in the library by people she follows on Instagram.
Eric has worked at the library since 2019. He likes fantasy, science fiction, and anything else that can transport him away from the dreary and mundane. He also likes to write; maybe he'll finish that novel one of these, er, decades. He's particularly looking forward to reading Randall Munroe's What If? 2 later this year, because we all need a little more fun absurdity in our lives sometimes.
Heidi is one of the circulation assistants at Adamstown Area Library. Her favorite books tend to be written by South American and Asian authors, including Isabelle Allende, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Haruki Murakami, and Kazuo Ishiguro. Her background is in teaching English. She actually took a few years off from reading, thinking her concentration was aging, but since starting at the library, she has been reading furiously again. She loves magical realism.
K is one of our circulation desk assistants. They are a recent graduate of Temple University, and hope to return to school to get their master's degrees in library sciences and history. Their favorite books include Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo, An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson, and Anno Dracula by Kim Newman. Their favorite genres are dark fantasy and paranormal fiction. They love diverse casts of characters and worlds with intricate, unique rules for magic. When K isn't working their way through a 300+ book to-be-read list, they can be found playing fantasy tabletop games with friends, always with a coffee in hand and a cat (or two!) in lap.
Laura is our Reference Librarian. She loves to read Classics, Science Fiction, and YA Fantasy. If she's not at work or curled up with a book, she's probably playing outside. She'd go to Mars if they'd take her, and she's never given up the search for secret doors to other dimensions.
Aubrey is a circulation assistant and runs our monthly STEM activities! Her favorite book is Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut and her favorite movie is Her (2013). She loves astronomy, indie music, cats, and is a vegetarian. Aubrey will be leaving the Adamstown Area Library staff in the Fall to pursue her Physics PhD. Her favorite literary genres are young-adult and sci-fi.
