"The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries."
- Winston Churchill
Capitalism and socialism are two opposing schools of thought in economics, politics, and sociology. Which is the better...

If you can make the case for socialism...
it must mean that you've taken the time to study it. You're in love with the "ideal" of socialism. I get it.
Why not spend an equal amount of time studying capitalism? Oh... I know... that would require effort and a commitment you inherently don't want to make. It's too hard. -
With restrictions.

Neither pure Capitalism nor pure Socialism are good things. Either one without controls will work. If left up to pure Capitalism only the strongest will survive. If left up to pure Socialism there would be less reason to try to succeed. A combination of the two would seem to me to be in the bestMore... -
Socialism is a failure.
By Aaron Neely

Money is not important to living life. Socialism does not make money the main objective in life. Capitalism corrupts humanity byMore... -
Values basic well-being for all
Socialism's central belief that each member of society is deserving of the same BASIC level of care and support from the government via wealth redistribution is much more appealing than capitalism's central obsession with self-interest as a vehicle of promoting the economy. Since when has lettingMore... -
Socialism and capitalism are not contradictory
The systems have a lot in common. however I prefer the socialism because it reduces the wealth distribution between the ultra rich and the less fortunate. Both systems provide individual freedom but socialism gives more social security and promotes minimum standard of living.

Socialism = Scandinavia NOT USSR, China, or North Korea
First off, neither extreme is desirable. A system that promotes the free market while providing a strong safety net for those down on their luck is what is truly the best choice. I clicked on socialism because right now the United States and increasingly Europe are leaning too far towardsMore...
